Where's Waldo.....

Today Madi called me into her room to tell me that her and Lily were "playing" together.... it took me awhile to locate them in the "clutter of toys".... can you find them?!

(ps... don't judge me on the mess!!....its "clean"...just a lot of toys pulled down to "play" with!! It gets cleaned up each night!)

Pumpkin cookies

Madi has been wanting to make cookies all day , so when Lily went to bed it was finally "her" time! We made sugar cookies and cut them to look like pumpkins and then glazed them with orange glaze.. she had a blast

(sorry that the pictures are blurry..not sure what happened.)

Telling her sister all about the cookies she got to make while Lily was asleep... she rubbed it in!

Sisters

sisters....sistes...there was never such devoted sisters....
(don't worry...no one was harmed during the taking of this photo!)

Wordless Wednesday

(I've seen this done on other posts. You just post a picture with no caption on a wednesday and call it.... you guessed it WORDLESS WEDNESDAY! )

Pumpkin carving fun....

We decided to buy a pumpkin yesterday when we were at the grocery store. When Madi, Lily and I go for our walk we usually walk by the dentist's office and he has one of those big blow up pumpkins in his front yard. Madi was super interested in it and so I explained that its a pumpkin but we cut a face into it and it becomes a Jack-o-lantern. The pumpkin at the dentist office has a ghost coming out of it but in her sweet little innocence Madi calls it the white man hiding in the pumpkin! So when we saw the pumpkins at the store she wanted to bring one home... it was so much fun..
She was a bit unsure about sticking her hand inside and pulling out all the seeds... so she just watched Daddy do it!
She told David what shapes to make the eyes, nose and mouth. She has a program on the computer that lets her do that with pumpkins, snowmen, and gingerbread men so she knew what to do!
David spend so much time carving the pumpkin that he became the pumpkin!

My beautiful Madi waiting "patiently" for her pumpkin to be done!

I HATE SPAM.....

Ok.. so I had to change some settings on the blog because of some spam that was showing up in the comment section. If you want to leave a comment ( which I love getting!) you just have to type the word (or letters) as they appear and then pick an identity ( you can just click anonymous if you don't have a blogger account, but leave your name so I know you left the comment!) I hope it doesn't confuse you all to much!

Imagination.....

One night when I was in Edmonton with Lily, David found Madi's ponies like this after he put her to bed. She had been playing with them and had some sort of story going. Don't you wish you could go back to that time when you could turn a barn sideways and play for hours!

Our thanksgiving monday!

David is working ALL weekend ( Sat -Tues) so had our turkey on Friday. Madi is not a big meat lover and Lily... well our little bean can't quite eat anything harder than a banana... so a big turkey dinner was out for her! We decided to celebrate today with a fun dance party listening to the Jonas Brothers ( Ok.. I know that I am about 30 yrs. old.. but it is really fun music to dance too!!... don't worry.. you won't find me in the front row of a concert..unless of course I am chaperoning!) We hope you all had great times together being thankful... and HAPPY DANCING!

Lily bean update...

I had forgotten to blog about this before so there is some "catching up" to blog about when it comes to figuring out the bruising issue with Lily. We had seen our pediatrician the middle of September and he decided that he wanted to send us to the see the Pediatric Hemotologist ( child blood doctor) in Edmonton. They had been following Lily's progress but had never actually seen her and wanted to. They also were planning on sending her for a Platelet Aggregation test (they test the "stickiness of her platelets) at the same time so they figured it probably wouldn't be for a couple of months. I got a call a few weeks later that we had an appt to see the specialist on Oct. 1. We quickly got the travel arrangements worked out and got ourselves to Edmonton. He took a very detailed family history and decided that he wanted to test me for some blood disorders based on my history as well ( I bled alot when I gave birth to both the girls etc. ) and unfortunately the platelet test is too involved (Lily only has to give the blood, what they do to it is the involved part) to have done without at appointment and ours got scheduled for Feb., so I will have to take Lily back then. As of right now they are not to overly concerned, they are mostly wanting to find out if she has a clotting disorder because of our location. If anything were to ever happen here ( a car accident etc. ) it would then show up that she has a clotting problem on her health card so they could stop the bleeding instead of having to guess and bad things possibly happening. So that is where we are now and we are just waiting for the results and then will have the test in Feb..... and see what happens!

My sweet baby girls!!

David was at work all day today, so us girls decided to have a "photo shoot". We were going to go outside but just as we were getting ready a "freak" rain storm came up and we had to stay inside. But we still had fun!

Grandma Motts sweaters....

Grandma Mott ( our old next door neighbors from Ottawa) made these for my girls. There are matching hats but we were inside so.... I didn't make them wear them! I think they are so adorable!

Madi has figured out how to draw stick people and snowmen! She is so good! If you click on the pictures you can see them more clearly. She puts hair, ears, eyes and everything!!
