Madi and Uncle Nathan

On this trip to Ontario Madison got to meet her Uncle Nathan ( david's brother). It was so neat to see how they interacted with each other. On our first full day at the house Madi was lying on the floor and Nathan laid down beside her. We were able to get some really cute pictures as she discovered who was lying beside her. There are so cute pictures of both of them looking up ( nathan was happy to realize she was looking at the tv... and what was on... you guessed it.. The Simpsons.. Uncle Nathan's favourite!)

Boating

When we were home in Ontario we were able to introduce Madi to the great world of boating!! David's parents have a boat and we have loved using it whenever we are at home in Blind River. We took Madi out in it 4 times, twice she fell asleep and twice she cried until we started going. I guess the water was mesmorizing! It was really neat to see though!
ps..it was the cutest thing to see Madi and Ryan in their little life jackets. They looked like little mannequins because they couldn't move their upper halfs cause of the neck of the life jacket!

Books

Grandma gave Madison a new book when we went to visit her and one night Grandpa read it to her while she was sitting on the table.
She was so transfixed by this book. It had lots of bright colors and pages Madi could chew on!
She stretched right out to enjoy the book that Grandpa was reading to her!

Waterskiing

As most of you know one of David's favourite things to do when he is at the cottage is to waterski. Even after three years he was still just as good! David was able to drop a ski and slalom ( up on only one ski) everytime he went out. It was really cool to watch.
It seemed that the water was the calmest first thing in the morning or when the sun was just going down. So David did a lot of his skiing then.

Meeting Cousin Ryan

Well, we just returned from our vacation to Ontario. It was such a great time away. One of the highlights was that Madison got to meet her cousin. His name is Ryan Gordan Kreick and he is the son of David's sister Sarah and her husband. It was so neat to see the two of them interact. Madi doesn't have many baby friends here in Yellowknife so it was really the first time she has interacted with another baby (beside herself when she looks in the mirror!) When we first laid them beside each other they didn't even notice ( I think cause so many adults where looking on and that was more interesting to them!) and then when they did they just kept trying to pull toys, hair, clothes etc. It was really cute. I hope you enjoy the pictures!
