Auntie Becky's visit

Well David was away at his course this Jan. my sister Becky came up to visit us!! It was a blast. I didn't tell the girls that she was coming just took them to the airport to wait and see who was coming ( you can see it in the video). We had a blast with her. She painted nails, read books, cuddled and we had so much needed sister/girl time. David was able to come home for the weekend when she was here so we took her out on the ice road... it was fun to experience with her!!!

Auntie Becky making Lily laugh!

It was WAY to cold to bring Caleb out of the car so we only got a 4 person family photo!!!

Becky with everyone!

She was so cold!!!

Fingers and toes all painted up!!!

This is my fav pic of the whole week she was here.. I love Beanie's face in this face.. priceless!!

During the beginning of 2010 I got some great shots of the girls!!

Lily modeling her new sweatshirt! David got the girls sweaters from his work.. I think they could totally use this picture as advertising and sell more tickets cause of it!!

When Mom and Dad Mobach were here they brought the girls some new toys and new clothes. Here Lily is playing with her new Handy Manny playset and modeling her new outfit!! I love it!

Fish faced Beanie!

Beautiful girl

Isn't she pretty!

Madi had her hands in her pockets and then Lily realized what her big sister was doing and wanted to be the same! She walked around with her hands in her pockets for a good 10 mins!!

Pedicures with Auntie Becky

When David was away for is month long course in Edmonton, Auntie Becky ( my sister!) came to visit us for a week! It was a BLAST!! She was such a super big help with the kids ( hauling 3 kids around on your own, in the middle of winter is not fun!) and it was fun to hang out just the two of us!
She had brought some bright red nail polish and one afternoon decided to give the girls manicures and pedicures!! Madi understands the concept of "waiting till they are dry to touch"... .Lily.. Not so much!!

Fingers and toes ( or finger toes, as Madi calls them!!) all beautiful

Blowing on her toes! She thought this was hilarious!

"I will take this color"!!!

Love this picture of Bean... so funny!

Madi's finger nails!

Auntie Becky painting away!!

Little toes... so much fun!!

Of course.. as every women knows... it does tickle a bit to have someone else do your toes!!

So tickly!!

Madi's 4th Birthday

We celebrated Madi's 4th bday at home with just the 5 of us. We had planned on having a "friend" party but then Lily and Caleb came down with a really bad cold so we cancelled and had a "family" party instead. I don't think Madi really even noticed!

My three lovelies!

Madi with her cake. I had intended to make one.. but was up all night the night before with Lily so we bought one from a bakery in town.. still super yummy. Madi loved that her name one was it.... its the little things that count eh!

Opening her cards!

Making her birthday taco!! She requested them for dinner.. i think she ate her weight in tacos that night!!

Madi opening her gifts.. she was super excited about every single one!

Happy birthday to my Madi!

Christmas

We had an awesome Christmas together as a family. We were planning on driving out to Revelstoke, but with the weather and some other small issues we decided it was best to stay in Yellowknife. It was hard to not be near family but we still had an awesome time together. We headed to our Christmas eve service and then when we got home the girls got to open up their one present ( always pj's!) and then off to bed to wait for Santa to arrive! We had some friends over that night for some munchies and socializing and all in all it was a super fun night!

Opening their Christmas eve Pj's!

Madi and Lily seeing the tree for the first time!

Opening Oma's Christmas gift.. so cute!

We relaxed Christmas morning and took our time opening gifts.... eating cinnamon buns.. and drinkin DELISH Highlander Grog coffee ( seriously people.. best in the world!)

Caleb with one of the gifts that he got.. he had the whole leg in his mouth and was just chewing on it like crazy!!

Opening a present...

Opening gifts from her stocking... she would have been happy with just one.. she didn't quite get the concept that they were all for her and she had to open them all...

Super excited about something she got!

Daddy helping Madi put together her present from Santa... it was a Handy Manny playset and she LOVED it!

David ( I know.. you could hardly tell couldn't ya!) with one of the gifts I got for him.

Berenstein Bear book... YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH THESE FOR MY KIDS....

They each had their own "box" to put their stuff in ( you can see it behind them..) they sat like this for quite awhile just enjoying their new toys!

Checking out the new coloring books that were in their stockings..

We were invited over to our good friends house for Christmas dinner. We divided up the cooking so neither of us was overwhelmed and we had a blast together. The kids played, we talked, ate WAY to much and all in all had a great time!

My girls with their little buddy!

Lily got a doll set that had 2 bottles in it.. here she and Madi are trying to feed my friends little guy the "fake" food... so funny!

I love this picture of Madi.. she is so super happy about her gift!

Lily opening her gift.. the softest, warmest, bestest jogging pants ever.. she ( and I ) love them!

Christmas photo shoot....

About 2 weeks before Christmas I decided to have a mini photoshoot with the kids! It was loads of fun! Madi LOVES to pose and well.. Lily will do anything if the reward is Smarties!! Here are some of my favs!

I absolutely LOVE this one.. Lily was so mad at me for not giving her "enough" smarties that she just scowled for about 5 frames!!

Not sure what is happening here.. but this sums up my children for sure... Lily trying to get away.. Madi smiling like a pretty little princess... and Caleb distracted by the birds outside the window!!

Madi showing off the christmas tree barrettes I made her and Lily
